Hi It’s wonderful to see you and your family enjoying the Cosumnes preserve. It truly is a wonderful place. I was googling it, since I’m writing a novel that’s based on the ecology of the region. Your photos hit home the importance of preserving great placeslike this.

No, I didn’t because it was there, but not a speck of shade. although it wasn’t too hot, the sun was awfully bright, and the little guys were making these squenchy faces, and blinking in the bright light. In addition they complained of the brightness. I would definately not go there in the dead of summer since it’s hotter there than it is here in Sacramento.
